COVID-19 Precautions

Dear Church Family,

We know these are anxious times as the world, our nation, our cities, our families, and our church process a response to the Coronavirus.  The good news is we know that none of this has caught God by surprise.  He has allowed it and promises to be with us and to work all of it for our good as we trust in Him.  He comforts us with the words of Philippians 4:6-7: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”  So as chaotic as things appear to be, we can rest in God and remember we are in His grip, whatever may come.

The Elders want to share with you the precautions we are taking as we worship together:

  • If you are not feeling well or recently have been ill, please do not come to the service, and instead watch our Live Stream service at https://www.twitch.tv/communitybiblechurchva.
  • Masks are required for ages FIVE years and older.
  • Masks must be worn at all times when entering and leaving the church.
  • Masks must be worn throughout the worship service, including while singing and praying, but may be taken off when sitting and listening to the sermon.
  • Following the completion of the sermon, masks must be put back on for singing the final worship song.
  • Social distancing precautions have been established to allow the worship team to remove their masks as they lead worship.
  • We encourage families to sit together, but practice social distancing from others out of respect for everyone attending.
  • Physical contact is not encouraged except for those who are family and/or those who are living in the same household.
  • We will have hand sanitizer available.
  • All children must be supervised by their parent(s) or a designated adult.
  • There will be an offering box for those who want to give. Online giving at https://cbcweb.org/give also is available.

God is in control, and as always, at work accomplishing His purposes, not in reaction, but as He sovereignly has planned.

In His Grip,

The Elders of Community Bible Church
