CBC’S former Sr. Pastor, Val Chappell, went home to be with His Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, in Fairfax, VA.

We did not expect to conduct a pastoral search at this point, and although we were taken by surprise, our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ, was not. God is Sovereign over all things and all His ways are perfect.  This was His plan for CBC and so we are now praying He will identify and provide the man whom He has chosen to shepherd this local church.

To aid our search we have developed an Opportunity Profile which provides a job description and pertinent information about CBC including our doctrinal statements, distinctives, how we’re governed, etc.  We have worked diligently to document everything the next shepherd of CBC needs to discern if this might be the local church the LORD is calling him too.
